Most people who order a protein powder online never read past the front of the tub. They see a number, a flavor and a price, and they hit add to cart. Then the tub shows up and the back label reads like a chemistry quiz.
We would rather you read ours before you buy it. So here is the whole thing: what goes into Griffy's Signature Protein, what a scoop looks like, what we left out, and how to pick the right tub for how you live.
The short answer: six ingredients
Signature Protein is made from:
- Organic Sacha Inchi
- Organic Hemp Protein
- Organic Pumpkin Seed Protein
- Organic Pea Protein
- Monk Fruit
- Vanilla Bean Extract
That is the list. Four plant proteins, one sweetener and one flavor. Nothing is hiding under a "proprietary blend" heading, because there is no proprietary blend.
Sacha inchi is the least familiar name on the label for most people. Hemp, pumpkin seed and pea are the plant proteins you have probably seen before. We use all four together instead of leaning on one, and we sweeten the blend with monk fruit rather than cane sugar. The vanilla comes from vanilla bean extract.
What one scoop holds
The numbers on our tub are simple, and they are the same ones printed on the product page:
- Scoop: 29g
- Protein: 24g per serving
- Servings: 30 per container
- Tub size: 2.2 lbs
Thirty servings means one tub covers a month if you take a scoop a day. If you take two on training days, plan on it running out sooner.
What we left out
Plenty of tubs on the market list gums, fillers and flavorings you have to look up. Ours is a plant-powered blend with nothing extra.
The plant protein in our Ritual Reset is described the blunt way: zero gums, fillers, or junk.
Vanilla or chocolate?
Signature Protein comes in two flavors, each in a 2.2 lb tub:
- Organic Vanilla. Our description calls it a smooth vanilla taste, naturally sweetened. It is the easier one to build on, because vanilla goes with almost anything you blend it with.
- Organic Chocolate. The pick for anyone who wants their shake to taste like dessert without adding anything to it.
If you are not sure, start with vanilla. It works in a plain shake and in a smoothie, and it does not fight with fruit the way chocolate sometimes can.
How to use a scoop
There is no wrong way to take a scoop of plant protein, but these are the ways we see people use ours most:
- The two-minute shake. One scoop, cold water or your milk of choice, and a shaker bottle. Shake it and go.
- The blender breakfast. One scoop of vanilla, a frozen banana, a handful of berries, your milk of choice and ice. Add a spoonful of our Sea Moss Gel if it is already in your fridge.
- The oatmeal stir-in. Cook your oats first, let them cool for a minute, then stir in a scoop.
One habit worth keeping: liquid first, powder second. Pour the water or milk in before the scoop, and the powder mixes in instead of sitting on the bottom.
One tub, two tubs or three
Signature Protein is sold online in three sizes, in either flavor:
- 1 tub: Signature Protein, $69.95
- 2 tubs: Signature Protein, $129.95
- 3 tubs: Signature Protein, $184.95
One tub is the right place to start. If you already know you like it and you take a scoop most days, the 2 tub and 3 tub options keep you from running out mid-month, and they cost less per tub than buying one at a time.
Where it fits with the rest of our range
Protein is one piece of what we make. If you want the whole routine in one box, the Ritual Reset is $129.95 and stacks three daily anchors:
- a 2.2 lb tub of our organic plant-based protein (you choose the flavor),
- a 6-pack of our raw juice best sellers (you choose the pack),
- and a jar of Sea Moss Gel (you choose the flavor).
We put it together for busy people who want one order instead of three. As we say on the product page: this is not a cleanse, it is a return to your baseline.
If you are near the Jersey Shore
Signature Protein is on our online store, so you can order it from home. If you live near one of our stores in Asbury Park, Colts Neck, Lincroft, Long Branch, Red Bank or Sea Girt, come see us for the other half of what we do: juice we cold-press daily and never HPP.
